Tuesday 15th November – Africa Baroque

7.30 pm – midnight

£6 on the door

£15 including three-course meal

Chat’s Palace, 42-44 Brooksby’s Walk, Homerton, Hackney

In a magical meeting of two string traditions, Max Baillie on violin and Sura Susso playing the kora present a mix of Baroque and West African music, including pieces by Bach, Merula and centuries old African bardic spirituals…

For our first Chats Palace event we are intensely proud to announce a new collaboration with one of our absolute favourite musical partners. Max Ballie, who with Ben Harlan brought you the incredible ZRI: Brahms and The Gypsy event at the Old Boys Club earlier this year, is back with a new and staggering musical mash up. Two sets of old music made new by masters of their form and wonderful African-inspired food in Chatsworth Road’s famous community center.
This is our hot tip to keep the late summer blooming this November.

£6 for the music or £15 with a three course dinner
Food will be limited on the night so if you’re going to be hungry, let us know at rabbitholeevents@gmail.com or leave a comment below and we’ll make sure there’s enough to go round
